Community Nordic Night at Hillcrest Golf Club!
Thursday, December 5, 2024, 5- 7 PM
WHAT: We are excited to host an informal community night with Hillcrest to kick off the ski season and answer your questions about grooming, programs, gear, races and events, and whatever else you are pondering about Nordic skiing at the moment. All are welcome! Staff from Hillcrest and DNSC, as well as DNSC coaches, will be available to answer all the questions.
HOW MUCH: Free! Any donations collected will be shared between Hillcrest & DNSC for grooming needs.
WHAT ABOUT DINNER?: The Hillcrest kitchen and bar will be open with chili and beer/wine for purchase.
ONE MORE THING: GEAR SWAP!
**If you have gear you are interested in selling, bring it with you for a low-key gear swap! Here's the plan:
Bring your gear (classic or skate skis, boots, poles for adults and kids - no downhill gear, please!) to the Golf Club starting at 4 PM to check it in with Coach Nick. Please have a price in mind, but if you have no idea, we'll coach you through it. If your skis are vintage or exceptionally well-loved, we reserve the right to suggest some cool craft projects for them instead. To expedite the process, please email us a pic of your gear and a description prior to Thursday, December 5.
DNSC will retain 10% of the sale price.
We would prefer that all transactions go through Venmo, so download that app if you don't have it yet!
Please remember to take your unsold gear home after the swap.
